I need to buy a clutch kit, frictions and steels, for my 1973 CT3. I am struggling to locate anything other than the a-la-cart parts from OEM via partzilla. Fairly pricey when you are buying single plates at a time.

Any other shops out there selling the clutch as a kit?

I have just bought a full set of steels and frictions OEM for £28.00
Of course that's here in the UK. You can also get EBC ones for the same price and i expect GEKO ones too.
I have used both and there's no difference.

There are many sets of frictions available on eBay, just search "Yamaha CT1 clutch disc," and not all ship from China. I have used these sets with no issues. The steels don't take the abuse, I just clean mine up and lightly hit them with some 600 grit to take out the shine. Soak the new frictions in the same engine oil (motorcycle specific, don't use automotive oils) prior to re-assembling. The rubber rings that go under the frictions are optional, many prefer not to reuse them but that's up to you. The CT1/CT2/and CT3 use the same parts (AT1 series also).
