Has anyone come across a suitable replacement for the Mandarin Orange used on an AT2? I've tried a couple of different paints but they've been coming out more gold than orange, which isn't what I'm looking for.
I originally took the oil tank in to have it color matched but the end result was clearly not what I was expecting. Kind of a weird yellowish gold. I'd like to do the paint job myself but may have to send it out if I can't come up with anything close.

Searching the forum will come up with several results. Marbles Motors has it but $$$$

RS paints in the UK was mentioned as having it too.

There's a whole "paint match" thread here that will have a few suggestions. Here's links to a couple posts but there are likely more if you go through the thread..

I wanted to try the Duplicolor orange mist metallic as mentioned in one of the posts, but nobody around here carries it. So what I went with was the Duplicolor Metal Cast orange because I knew from an earlier trial it was close in color but a bit difficult to lay down evenly. I did 3 coats of the silver base coat then multiple coats of the orange until I got the color I wanted. It's basically a tinted clear coat so as I said, it can be a challenge to get an even coat, otherwise stripes or blotches are the result. I'm either getting better with a rattle can or more likely just incredibly lucky, because the paint job turned out really well. A nice deep orange with metallic undertones that really come alive in the sun. Now I'm letting the paint cure for a week before I apply the decals and finish it with a two part clear coat.
I used this same paint in red on a CT2 with similar results so I think its a viable option for some paint schemes.
