Got the tire and spokes off the front wheel yesterday. Tonight are the bearings. Have never done this before, but found some good videos, so it seems easy enough (famous last words). Will be buying new bearings and spokes. Wheel only has a little surface rust, so it should clean up nicely.

Got the bearings out. Yay!
Now can someone tell me how to get the drive gear and oil seal off.
The diagram shows them as separate parts.

Without looking at it in front of me, looks like you will need a bearing separator, Harbor Freight sells them. Why are you taking it off?
Thanks Mark

I'm taking it off because I don't know any better. Thought I would remove everything, clean it, lube it, whatever, and reassemble. Also thought I should look at the oil seal. Again, cuz I have no idea what I am doing. If you don't think they need to come off, then there is no reason for me to do extra work if I don't need to.

If it’s in good condition, leave it on.
Thanks Mark
