could someone help identify this oiltank, I believe it's from a 1973 DT3.

It's actually off a 73 RT3 . Identical tank , just a different colour , and badge obviously .

Badge is definitely RT3. However, to my eyes the colour is nearer DT2 than RT3! This could easily be the camera and a trick of the light though.
