Gas cap barrel

Gas cap barrel was created by wayno

How do I get the barrel out of the cap? Don't have the correct key for the lock, could get another key code 1726 I know but as the cap is apart for cleaning up I thought I could try and recode the barrel to my key. Does it come out key side or underneath? It's for a dt400c

Got it sorted after a good clean I could see a brass clip of sorts,which when pushed in with a screwdriver allows the barrel to be withdrawn.you can see it at about 9oclock in th picture
