RD350? Road race question. was created by Gr8uncleal

A chap in the UK has a RD350 frame, but with an "R" in front of the number. The frame number stamp has the asterisks at each end, determining that it is a European model and the "R" looks original, not added afterwards.

The frame has what look like genuine and original fairing mount brackets welded to it.

Has anyone seen a similarly numbered (excluding the asterisks) and kitted out frame in the US? We're talking about a 1973 or so bike here.

Thanks.
