Help identifying this fork was created by smd3

I bought these from eBay as DT400/250 fork legs, but they don't quite match my '75. How can I identify them?

Inner tubes are the same diameter, but about 2" longer.
Outer tubes are the same length, but larger diameter.

Visually, they are very similar so I didn't really even notice the difference until I'd already replaced the fork seal on one and went to put a new boot on it.

On a side note....I may have a set of pretty nice fork legs for sale soon. The chrome is in pretty good shape.
