I sent him a PM and said the pics are terrible but right outta the gate I can see that isnt a badge tank. Those rear shocks arent OEM either right?

gwil4,

This is a 1972 DT-2, with the reed valves in their first year of use. The shocks are STOCK Yamaha Thermo-Flow, which was their try at a reservoir for the shock oil that cooled it somewhat. They were not particularly successful...The tank never had a badge as well...

Ad says all original and I said to him it wasnt a 68 tank because 68-71 is badge tank bikes.
