throttle cable was created by Terry1A

On my 1976 or 1978 I am not sure what year due to my vin sticker says 4/77 I will find out for sure today. Anyway my new question is about the throttle cable having a kink toward the bottom. What problems can this cause me when adjusting carb & free play. Can this be a no start issue or when I am riding at say 30 miles an hr I have a miss when holding the throttle to maintain that speed

For the model/year, compare the frame and engine numbers against the data in the forum's Tech Library (see top toolbar).

The most common problem that I have read about here caused by a damaged or poorly routed throttle cable is the engine revs not dropping - ie throttle stuck open.
