Where do I find the CDI on my bike as I am not sure if it has one. 1980 Yamaha DT175 enduro. Thanks

Take off left side crank case cover and look at the generator/flywheel. If points, you will see the set of points and condenser through the gaps in the generator (might have to rotate it a little).

If cdi, follow the trail of wires from the generator and they should lead you to a metal "box" about 2 x 1 inches. On my DT360 it sat behind the left plastic side cover, but not sure about where yours might sit.

It had one from the factory.

Box is smaller and black plastic. On that model it's behind the right side cover to the rear of the oil tank. Located right in the triangle where the seat and rear fender meet.
