Be careful! That key does not look like any of my other vintage Yamaha keys, which all have teeth on both sides - reversible. Even my 'modern' XT225 has the reversible key.

That's an original key. I have a 2415 on one on one of my CT1's and the keys look just like that one sided one on eBay.

One key I got with the bike is used and brass has worn through the nickel plate... other key was kept in a drawer and looks new.... I'm sure they are both original from the patina on the one key.

Unfortunately, I have an issue with the cycle missing when approaching 30+ MPH. Cleaned & checked the carb several times. The biggest problem is the OEM rubber hose from the AC to the carb. It looks great but has hardened to the point the only way I can get it back on is to heat it up w/a hair dryer to provide some flexibility and get it installed within 10 seconds before it cools off! Just might end up installing my Filtron AC instead ( have had that since the 1970s). Am suspicious the trouble may be in the stator condenser, as the symptoms can be the same. Have one or two others I can swap out entirely (which is much easier than un-soldering & soldering those wires back onto the replacement condenser w/out overheating/damaging it in the process).

Also, thanks for everyone's help and glad you like my rides, too!

This locksmith on ebay made two keys for my DT400. You give him the key code and he cuts them. You can send him message and ask about your code. Mine work perfect in the ignition, fork lock and side panel.
