1996 RT 180....Should I dab something on here or maybe shoot some copper spay or something on this area? There is not an actual O-Ring there,it is just made that way. Diagram does not show anything there though but I think it was maybe leaking before...

I use a thin coat of semi-hardening Yamabond or Permatex Grey Motoseal on all the reed valve sealing surfaces and gaskets.

I like Hylomar blue, its non hardening, kind of similar to Yamaha Bond.

If the rubber is hardened definitely use sealer.
