Just picked up a 1985 Y Zinger PW 80-N. Removed the exhaust. Can I open up the hole in the restriction washer/plate that comes with the new gasket? How much without running into need for carb mods?

Discard the washer, that'll fix it for sure. If you have a learner rider just double the hole size not full gasket size for a time until they ask for more power. Then a YZ80 & its all on lol.
