Good Morning GR8UNCLEAL and
Thanks MarkT for your reply. I dred removing the rotor to test wires behind it, but I wanted to look in there and see if my new crank seal is keeping things dry anyways. since the bike does start up and run good ,would I be correct to assume that the primary and secondary coils are okay? and the wires connecting them as well ? Also , I do have the black wire from the kill switch connected to the triple black wires connector from the main harness , which im guessing is attached to the black wire with the ring connector near the secondary coil which i have connected to one of the screws holding the coil to the frame ( cleaned threads with tap ) should I find another spot to connect the black wire from the kill switch other than in the triple black connector?
Like I said the key is working (somewhat) I have to switch it on to get the signals , horn and taillights to function and when switched off they do not function. It just won't shut the engine off nor will the kill switch. Would it not start up if it didn't have a good ground?
That's why I was assuming if I got the contact maker in the key switch maybe rotated 180 off from where it should be when I reassembled it. I have another key switch aftermarket but the wires match the original one , I was gonna swap it out and see if it fixes it. It sucks because I have to keep removing the gas tank to get at the keyswitch plug and then start the bike to see if kill/key switches are working
I'm gonna try to do some testing today .
Thanks again for sharing your knowledge
John

You have spark...  the problem is NOT going to be behind the flywheel.

I put a couple pics of the inside of the switch what I was wondering is if I rotate the contact maker 180 might this be the reason the kill or key switches won't function?I put a couple pics of the inside of the switch what I was wondering is if I rotate the contact maker 180 might this be the reason the kill or key switches won't function?

Yes, for the time being you will need to use a third party host to post pictures and link them here.  Imgur has been mentioned in the past.

Mako knows about the problem and is working on it...  not sure when it will be fixed.
