Mark can’t thank you enough.
Here is one of the measurements the service manual says to check
The .48mm will not slide in so it seems that one is ok.
I attempted to pull up and down on the rod and can’t hear or really feel a click.

Even on a very noisy rod it's nearly impossible to feel up and down play.
How is the "wobble"?
Best to use a dial indicator but you can clamp a scale to the stud and get a decent idea...

Mark,
Wobble on the small end?
I have a dial indicator but not sure how to measure that one?

The Service Manual pictures below might help... dial indicator sideways and wobble the rod side to side without sliding it side to side. Easier to do than explain. You've already measured the "sliding" clearance with the feeler gauge... now you measure the "wobble" at the top of the rod without sliding the bottom side to side.

My maths is bad but in my head but i always convert it back to inches [old school] so i can visualise it in my mind lol. If that's .08mm difference at worst between piston & bore then thats about 3.2thou but rattles like a horse & cart clearance so just run a feeler blade in until you find the limit although what your doing should be better i realise. Wonder if those wiseco's sound worse because of how they're manufactured compared to original Yamy. what are they--forged instead of cast? or other way around, maybe resonates more. Slide some fuel hose inbetween the fins to soak up the noise. The TY cylinder on mine has that in my vid has that. Not sure if i did it years ago but have seen that on original cylinders & in the head fins to dampen the ring ding noise.

Thanks mark
So I left a feeler gauge inserted at the bottom of the rod so that part wouldn’t move when I wobbled the top of the rod.
Since I don’t have a stand for the dial indicator it’s hard to say but it seems about 1mm of play

Also here are pictures of how the rings line up on the piston and then on the cylinder.
When installed on the cylinder it is close to the “port”

From what I’ve read the wisecos are know to make a bit more chatter. This is all making me just say to heck with it and get a Yamaha .75mm over and have the cylinder bored to it hahaha
