At2M Carburetor was created by Thanney

Currently trying to get this bike up and running for cheap. I went to clean the carb today and found ethanol has messed up the inside of the bowl. Not sure if it’s worth cleaning or if I should get a new carb. If I do go new or the rebuild route I run into the same problem. All of the service manuals describe the carb as a Mikuni VM26SC. I cannot for the life of me find that carburetor. Seems that Mikuni stopped servicing it. Closest I can find now is a VM26-606. Do y’all have any advice or opinions on where I should go from here?

What’s wrong with the bowl corroded not cracked or broken?

It’s corroded pretty bad. I could clean it with a brush. Just not sure if the ethanol messed up any of the other passageways of the carb.

Maybe have it vapor blasted?  I know at least one member here has the capability.

It's not too likely anything "calibrated" was damaged...  jets can be easily replaced,

Fair enough. I don’t have much experience with carbs so I wasn’t sure. How much would it cost me to have it vapor blasted?

Here's a link to all the parts pics incase its useful.
& a second link to the specifications.
I see the carburetor is just a push in type of 24mm or 26mm for "72 & "73 i think it means. Therefore you have plenty of options for carbs & i'd go 28mm in a heartbeat. Not sure how much clearance there is under the bowl but i think a YZ80 28mm carb from about 1980 would be good & hopefully cheap. Or an early RD350 28mm left side carb with the choke but block off the linking hose that feeds choke to the right carb.
Or dare i say it--a chinese carb. I'm using something like this on my 175. Ok i'll wait to be told of haha for suggesting this. So cheap i'm not sure its legit. What can go wrong--Umm. Best of luck & just thinking of an easy option for you.

I'd expect to pay no more than $25, although price will depend on whether or not the workshop needs to dismantle and re-assemble the carb, or if you do this yourself (take photos as you go!).
