RT3 Rectifier Mounting Location was created by ndemmert

I need a little help. I'm trying to straighten out a 1973 RT3 that I recently purchased which I overpaid for because the seller was not up front in his listing. Where is the rectifier mounted on this bike? Thanks for your help.

Just curious how it's supposed to mount. Was hoping someone might have picture.

BTW, Welcome!

There are probably dozens of pics in the forum.  I did a quick search and came up with this post...  the pics appear to be rotated 90 degrees CW so the right side is the top. Area is right by ignition coil.

Tip on asking questions...  in this case posting your own picture and saying "does this look right" is probably the best way to ask?

On my RT2 it is mounted as per Pete's RT1 photo, but on my DT3 it is mounted as per the photos in Mark's link.

That's probably another small detail change between the 1972 and 1973 models to note!

I couldn't do that because it was missing and I had know idea how it was mounted. Thanks though.

Interesting. My bike does not have a mounting hole in that location.
