Super common. Still used on newer bikes and dealer probably even has it even though the parts lists might not show it.

Measuring my OEM 16 tooth sprocket, the specs they list for the internal opening are perfect. It should fit right on your shaft.

Pretty annoying when photos of the required sprocket brings up multiple types. I guess you just have to hope they send the correct one by number. Maybe I'm just having a bad hair day lol.

In case you don't know and you're worried about the larger size, a 17 is a well-known "DVM mod". I think for a fairly stock bike the magic number he recommends is 17/45?
(DVM is co-inventor of the sleeper pipes and had a CT3 he modified that was the best running CT I've ever ridden. Pulled like a freight train compared to stock. And reliable as a rock. He rode the wheels off of that thing! And his knees had rubbed most of the paint off the tank! Had a ton of miles on it.)

Using a 17 tooth sprocket on a stock CT is a very fine improvement. You will obtain some more top end speed for dealing with on the road traffic without losing very much bottom end power for off road adventures.
In the past I had obtained 17 tooth sprockets from Sprocket Specialists and/or Rebel Gears.

I put a PBI 17 tooth on my 71 CT-1 some 4 years ago, when I got it running after being a pile of rust for decades. Has the stock 45 tooth rear sprocket as well. Because all I do is ride around town with it, it really makes it nice, however I think it'd be fine for trail riding as well.
Lower RPMs at the speeds I normally travel, usually not over 55 to 60 along Pacific Coast Highway, and first gear is a bit more usable. Because my motor and exhaust are stock, I don't think I necessarily get a higher top speed, just lower RPM. I've had it up to 65+ reading on the speedometer, but found that the speedometer reads about 2-3 mph fast. It's interesting because at 4,500 RPM it's doing about 45 mph, and the same equivalence at 55 and 65.
The bike only had about 360 miles when I started working on it, now it has 3,844. Although that is slightly inflated because the speedometer reads fast. I could have ridden across America.
