Finished my DT1-C Restoration was created by Phils2888

A few years ago I sent my 1964-1/2 Mustang that I was restoring to the paint shop and I needed something else to work on so I dug out my 1970 DT1-C that had been sitting in my shed for 35 years. The tank had exploded while in there and I had already taken the engine apart and had the crank redone and cylinder bored before I put the bike away. At first I was going to get it running and flip it but that just isn’t my style. There are some upgrades to 71 parts on this bike but it pretty much pure stock. I think it turned out pretty nice.  I owe a lot of thanks to a lot of folks on this forum that provided great assistance!  Thank you!

looks nice & i love the color. Are rear shocks [now on it] slightly longer shocks [last restored pic]. What brand are they [& length] & do they cause any chain problems or just run extra slack so doesn't tighten before horizontal to the front sprocket. Looks good like that & bit more height too.

RT325, I bought the shocks off eBay, so they are def aftermarket shocks, but they replaced other aftermarket shocks so I don’t know if they are longer than stock.  As far as how they will work, I’ll find it as soon as my tags arrive.  In NJ, historic tags for motorcycles come from Trenton through the mail,  it from the local DMV office.  I’ve only ridden it up and down the block.  The length of 13-1/2 “ sounds familiar.  The color is stock for that year.

Yes, 260.  Original engine, just rebuilt.  Car has only 31,000 original miles on it.
