With the KTM gone ( you all have seen this picture )
And the " Greenie " on the stand for an air leak, time to get some more work done on the DT1B.
Since most of the black paint is on ( still have to do the triple tree )
Swing arm is back on and smooth. Time to consider rear shocks.
T-Bone donated his Showa beauty's , but need some grinding on the top to fit. a Spooky process there, or just re-fab old originals. the jury is still out on that adventure.

Oh, at Dave's request, we took just the frame to the CHP to run the VIN. The lady was nice but had just set her lunch on her desk ( Looked like gruel and a sleeve of crackers.. ugh ! )
She politely told us to go to the DMV. So we got the bums rush.
Outta there, we then went to the Sheriff's office to a nicer lady. She took the VIN and we waited.. and waited.
She had somebody run it 4 different ways to see it it was stolen, had a lien or in the system. NOTHING !!!
Dave had a smile on his face so big, I thought he would swallow his ears. The It hit me too.
Time to build.
If it came up with a problem, we were ready to surrender just the frame right then.
Yep, time to sink money and build !!

Happy Thanksgiving to all !! I'm still working on the 69' DT1
Well, after soaking and heat and beating and banging for over a month, The cylinder is STILL stuck. I decided to investigate more so I popped out the main seals. Low and behold...a bunch of rusty water/oil spilled out. Crank at the bottom of the stroke is rusted solid on the matching number motor ( Motor #1)
Motor #2 is being prepped , but motor #3 is my target ( looks like I can just swap out the VIN number side without too much problems. )
Here is motor #1 captured by the HasbroCam ! ( lucky you )
Cleaned up now and soaking. Hopefully the Cylinder will be off by dinner time !

I'm looking forward to the clutch actuators.

Hope everyone here and their families had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did !
Did I go back out after eating and remove the stuck cylinder? NO .
Kinda over did it and went into a food coma, then sat in front of the TV and promptly watched " Eye Lid Theater !"
I Didn't wake until T-Bone texted me on my progress.
So... Back to the grind today.
