Visited KDI today was created by Rick C.

Went to visit my old friend Dave Kolbo at KDI headquarters , with Super Dave today.
Picked up a SUPER crusty 1969 DT1B frame from him for 50 bucks . So yeah really really crusty !
It needs my help.
Heading back from Long Beach on the 405 freeway at before 9am on Sunday morn , we could open it up to 80 mph in Supe's truck.
It still didn't blow off all the ugly on the bike. Geezo...
According to KDI, bike sat outside for some time in the earth quake zone of Ridgecrest Ca. for quite some years until he picked it up. now mine, Did I say CRUSTY ????
All I wanted was a DT frame to stick one of my 2 motors in and putt. Gave me a matching number bike. OK.

Thanks guys !
I may be leaning on you both for info. Enduronut and Mark.
I have a crank that has been broken or missing.
Good news, I have 2 motors to play around with Both 69 year.
May or will need to send to Bill Bune for crank rebuild, and find someone to bore the cylinder in the coming weeks... when I get some cash.

Love finding things like that lying overgrown in the grass. I see the rear wheel is the later type not the separate sprocket carrier quickly detachable wheel of the square arm model--like that really matters haha. Sorry, not pickin holes in it--i want it & is a starting point for yet another resto.
