I have my forks apart, cleaned, ready for seals.one problem.the two inner tubes seem slightly different.  Also, a thin tiny tube came out of one, but not the other one!!  If it is in there, it may be rusted to the inner wall.see pics.  Washers were not too happy to come out either.what makes r and L different ?  Do both sides use a spacer tube?

I can only go by partzilla which isn't easy to follow but shows two springs so i'd think there'd be two long preload spacers but shows fork tube 'stansion' as 7 & 8 different numbers plus yours look like a bush or something on the right one near the bottom but not 'at' the bottom. I''m useless sorry. I guess you've looked on partzilla or similar.

I know there is a tube there.  I can drop the cleaned up tube in one she goes all the way. In the other one she stops about 7!inches short. Any great ideas how to free the bugger??

One lower has a brake lug.  Front brake is on the left side sitting on the bike.

Thanks for reply MarkT. I'm aware of the Brake lug on the left side.
My concern is the sliders that go inside the fork leg. They are different. One is a bit longer. i think the shorter on is on the right side as the oil capacity is more on that side. (96 ml on Left and 120 ml on right)
Please correct me if I'm not right. Thanks

Next question
I believe fork seals are 26 MM x 37 MM x 10.5 MM ordered some but Amazon says I can get refund. If that's correct size I'll try local seal store.

You need to go by the numbers on the seal be sure to take them with you so they can get the correct seals for you

Is there a difference in the position of the lower bush on the fork tube between left & right--can't think why, but show different numbers between 8 & 7, so does 7 pic give a clue because 8 is hidden. Mystery.
