Hey Randy, I grew up in the Hampton Roads area, lived in Williamsburg area for a while and work took me to Charlotte NC. I'm now living in Floyd, Va. I was wondering if we might be neighbors.

Howdy all,
We're the Hiveley boys; 16 year old Isaac and his dad Mike. Our current (and first) project is a '76 DT125 that came to us as the proverbial "bike in a box...and a bucket". It's mostly assembled now, engine running strong, and Isaac just got the clutch operating today!
We have many questions about really polishing it off to be a daily commuter. How cool would it be for Isaac to ride to high school this fall on a '76 DT!
Dad is mostly a Mr. Fixit (but there's a whole bunch he doesn't know); Isaac is a natural, just needs more time in the saddle. We'll likely be looking for some parts, insight, and wisdom...and we've got 3-4 more bikes to work on!
Thank you in advance for any and all assistance!
(edit: we live in Milwaukie, OR; enjoy hunting, fishing, cycling, motorcycling, and horses)

Awesome stuff! My daughter (8yo) is starting to hang out in the shed with me and wanting to build random stuff. She's showing interest in the bikes as well, so we'll see where that leads. Love hanging out with her and teaching her how to use tools, etc. She recently wanted to make a "Super Secret Spy Gadget", so she went rummaging through the shed for stuff and built this, made out of an old paint spray gun, a lamp shade and a spare part from my Norton. She learned about bolt threads and how to drill and tap as well.

He he, that's why I grabbed that spray gun so many years ago (can't even remember where, probably a garage sale), I just thought it was so 50's car and scifi inspired. I'm glad it finally found a use, it justifies my collecting of useless but 'pretty' stuff.
I've now got plans to fit some LED's and a buzzer hooked up to the trigger. One thing leads to another....

My name is Eamonn Galvin and I live in Cork, Ireland. My Yamaha is a DT175MX 1980.
Motorcycles and The Isle of Man TT are just two of my passions, and I,ve attended either the TT or Manx Grand Prix most years since 1969. I,ve owned everything from a Norton Atlas, Yamaha XT500, Z650 and so on up to my present DT175MX ,Honda cb500 twin and an MZETZ250!
Thats enough for now!
