She's a beauty.  Glad you got her sorted.  Any clues as to why the seal popped so forcibly?

I don’t know what caused it on this most recent occurrence. When it happened on my other 360 it was from backfiring while trying to start it. It had CDI issues and wouldn’t start. Just backfired and blew the seal.

This most recent occurrence on my new 360 happened while I was riding it. I continued riding it, thinking I could clean it out like it just loaded up for some reason. It just got worse as I rode it, so I shut it down. Good thing I did, because it almost suck the crankcase dry.

I’m going to take it out on the backroads as soon as the Lions get into halftime.

Took it out in the gravel roads and put about 25 miles on it. Kept it under 4k due to my suspicions that the top end was just done before I bought it. It ran great. Much smoother than my 400 when you plane off at speed.

I need to get a battery for it. All the switches seem to work. The turn signals light up but didn’t blink, and the horn made a weak attempt when I pushed the button. All good signs.

The Bassani pipe is back on the bike and it really isn’t very loud at all. It has a huge silencer/spark arrestor that I repacked with proper fiberglass. I rigged the heat shield to fill the void on the left side just like it would be if I had the stock pipe on it. You can see it on the last video I posted.

I think I will close this thread and start a new one if anything comes up on this bike. It is by far the nicest bike in my collection. So very clean for being an unrestored original bike.

Very nice bike! And hooray for the Lions! My Vikings seem to “sheared” a key on the flywheel…

Wish I could get the photos to show instead of just a link.
