I do know there was a difference/revision in the parts that's not documented very well.

I’m going to attempt to repair my goobered-up stator. All wires are either partially or completely severed just above the grommet that comes out of the motor. And two wires were completely cut purposely. If I’m unable to repair it, I’ll have to buy one.

Do you have a throttle assembly for the handlebars for a '80 IT175? The top cap on mine cracked due to someone overtightening the screws at some point. I can get pictures if I'm not describing it correctly.

Several throttle assemblies on ebay...  was used on several models.
