Mikuni VM28SS carb alternative for DT250A was created by AXLE1

Hi All
Has anyone know an alternative replacement for Mikuni VM28SS carb  for DT250A. or anyone got a spare for sale?

yes, it is pilot jet #60 it does look like main jet it is slightly taller and has an O ring on it.

The correct carb will have 438 stamped on it, on the flat surface just below the choke lever.

The main jet is in the float bowl, screwed into the banjo bolt in the base.

The part with the 'O' ring is the needle jet setter. Replace the 'O' ring with a genuine Yamaha one (they are still available).

Thanks for your reply it has been really exhausting the pilot jet #60 is the item No,1 in the exploded diagram and can not find it on spare line shop. Maybe you could put point this out for me!!!

Here we go.

Motocarb and/or Allens might well have it as well.

Don't be put off by it showing as for TZ - many Mikuni parts were shared between different carbs and bike manufacturers.
