There is no difference on the server. The photos will always show at the bottom as attachments (at least on this template) but if inserted into the text it just displays the same pic inline. No difference to the site load.

Using a hosting site such as Smugmug will not use this sites resources, correct?

Correct, and they are a great host with a great track record. Just stay away from Photobucket!

I've been using them for several years now. About $40 USD per year but their program includes some cool editing options along with easy sharing, resizing, cropping etc. I suppose the only downside, (other than its not free) is that when you stop paying I imagine all your photos uploaded to sites like this will disappear.

You guys are doing a wonderful job and it really is appreciated.

I guess that, if you have hit some sort of ceiling, then you are 'victims' of you own success?!

I'm happy to make a contribution if needed - given the time (and quite probably money!) you lot have saved me, it's the least I can do!

Thanks for the support! we have a donation button down on the lower right column of the page. I am working on a solution which will include a significant redo of the site for speed and reliability.

Unfortunately for a variety of reasons, we can’t host video directly. Best method is to upload to YouTube or Vimeo, then embed here from there.

We are not quite as fancy as Facebook . . . Yet!

If you get over about 5 meg, the site will sometimes choke. It is supposed tomresize all,photos to fit right, but sometimes things go awry. There is a 5 picture limit per post, and smileys are included in the number.
