Been there, done that.
Back in the day I had my SC500 stuck in mud at Gorman, a Jeep pulled me out, :Ugh so embarrassing. :ROFLOL
It was the kind of mud, the more you walk the taller you got.
Thanks Mark

CJ360T, 1976. Kind of a budget CB360. Kick-start only and drum front brake.

I absolutely fell in LOVE with North Idaho riding when we lived in Coeur d' Alene! Literally, 10 minutes driveway to single track like you pictured. For 2 years, my ride of choice was a '72 CT2. I miss both CDA & that CT2, but we will be back in CDA at some point in the future.

I'd fall in love with a trail like that, too. Where are the exposed tree roots? The big-azz loose rocks, the 60º slopes? Roger and I wound up walking first his bike and then mine down the first switchback and then could continue to ride. Vertical loss was about 100'...in maybe 200' of trail.
He's in Sand Point. We were riding just easy of Cocolala Lake, south of Mirror Lake. Where was your riding mostly done?

Trials tires makes pretty much anything "vintage" right? Really starting to fall in love with it after some effort getting things sorted, but hey we re-jet out vintage bikes and deal with their little idiosyncrasies too...

Radial trials tires worked awesome when racing in New England rock gardens. Racing in Southern New Jersey, sand, or Western New York, bottomless mud, I’d switch back to a true knobby for better traction though. Also the lack of side knobs limits how far you can lean it over in a turn.

Yeah, they are not the best in soft soil, though what we have here is more volcanic "moon dust" and nothing gets traction in that six inch deep fluff. I find with the trials (Shinko 241) that there is more nuance to when it is going to loose traction. The more knobby tires tend to hold it then release suddenly if that makes sense. Plus, the knobbys tend to be bad in the highway, and in reality the WR250R is a nice 50/50 dual sport because it does so well on the road, at least in my opinion. Pure trails I'd take an XT225 or XT250 but when you hit the tarmac, the advantages goes to the WR250R, even significantly geared down - which it does need for trail riding.

Worth noting at least for me, I'm on the California/Oregon border and here we don't really have genuine sand, more hardpack dirt and or rock gardens/loose rock. If it's mud, it's typically too cold to ride, at least for our softness with the Mediterranean weather and all :)

Nice.

Seat from Asia (Vietnam)? What did you do with the original rear light in the end?
