1966 YGS1 Complete was created by kzeppelin2

Finished the rebuild on my YGS1. I regard it as a victory that I only had one screw remaining in the parts bin that went unused. All other parts made it onto the bike somewhere. I guess the bike will complain if it misses that one screw! I enjoyed the rebuild. Now I just have to wait for the snow to melt and we'll see how she runs.

Wow great video thanks. I slowed it down to 0.25 for a bit for a closer look. Look forward to hearing how it goes on the road when the snow clears. Wish we had snow here, too hot lately in NZ. Did you give the exhaust a clean out, remove baffle etc. The baffles grow into pipe & can be difficult to get out without damage but I mostly worked on the farm YG1T so smokey old farm models all carboned up in the pipe. Look forward to the test ride video.

I did indeed pull the baffle. That was tricky for sure. Burned off as much as I could.

OK cool, that's good. I've seen them very restricted even in the header pipe. But that's mainly our old farm models after years of use & no maintenance & probably  rusty oil pump cable stuck with pump wide open.
