Thanks Pabdt, I did a lot of polishing to get them cleaned up. The bike has just 3300 miles, and tach, speedo and odometer all work. This had to be a 1 owner bike before my late friend got it. He just rolled it into the backyard and left it to nature. There was some rust on the bottom of the oil tank had some minor rust. I scrubbed it clean and carefully brushed on some rust converter that I had laying around.
I'm thinking I will just try and conserve the bike the way it is and keep as many original parts as I can. I have the rear turn signals, just took them off to prevent walking into them in the garage
the wheels are also in great shape, started cleaning those up yesterday.
Oh, and I was able to get a look at the production date today, 9/73 I figured it was an earlier one, based on the serial number, 446-007500

I have a few more pics I wanted to share
this bike is really amazing in how much is still there. It looks like it was very well taken care of by the original owner. nothing is beat up or hacked, and a lot of the chrome is starting to clean up with steel wool and wd40.
The last several years have been hard on it though, just sitting out in the elements, almost completely unprotected. It had shade
I have the 2 black side covers as well, the right one has a broken piece, but works still if I use a wire to hold it on

You say you have electric & air impact.
The crank nut would come undone just letting it come against compression.
The clutch hub nut will come undone just holding the hub with a rag or a welding glove on one hand.
Could tighten both of them the same way.
Ok i'm rough, but gurantee it'll work.
