Haha maybe I never typed it in here but I definitely asked my self the question as I was going crazy in the garage haha… anyway I just remembered I had an extra clutch pack in the drawer from when my inner hub broke and I had the #18 washer between the inner hub and outer hub! I believe I definitely have all the parts now but I’m gonna take it apart and send a picture of all the parts in order. I can put this clutch together lighting fast now so that’s a plus.

Here we are. Top left us farthest out and goes in the order you read. The other #18 washer is still in there because I didn’t want to take the gear off. Back together now.

I'll try one more time.  What's under the #18 you left on the shaft?  It's critical that you check that.

Ignore me as i'm just thinking out loud.
Are we there yet--kids in the back seat!!. I'll read back later in the evening but just thinking that if 19 small washer wasn't behind 18 the big washer would rub on all the case bearing. But--if 19 was missing the complete assembly might still spin as thread on the shaft would run out before its all tightened up. I'm guessing small 19 is in place or the big clutch gear would sit too far back with crank gear. Without looking way back just yet i'm sure there was a witness mark on that kick start big incorrect washer in early pics, like it came from elsewhere. MarkT--'& others'--are putting a lot of time into this so hope ya get it sorted.

I took off the gear to look behind #18 and and there was the #19 behind it as it should be. Yes the kick start washer was the correct one for that spot. After checking behind washer I put it all together again and the basket now doesn’t have play and is appearing to operate normal. I really appreciate everyone’s help with this whole mess. Also, I did not have two ball bearings.

so I typed that earlierand forgot to hit send.

I put everything back together filled it with. Bled oil pump all of that and she started right up clutch seemed good. Took it around the block and died when beginning to slow down again.. fired it up and then it happened again.  gonna clean carb again and play with clutch adjustment more. What a doozy :(

Way back in post 35 1971DT250 comment on clutch gear looking like it's too far in.  (Sign that #19 may be missing)

It was mentioned by someone way back to check for the two #18's and the #19 missing.  No response. (We just found out that one #18 was missing though.)

In pictures with nut holding center hub, there seem to be a lot of threads showing...  nut threads way down.  (Sign that #19 may be missing)

There has been evidence that pressure plate is not clamping discs properly. (Sign that #19 may be missing.)

We've never seen #19 in any pictures or written confirmation from the only person that can look or may know that it's there...  hopefully it is there or this thread will probably continue another 8 pages.

Yes and I took out the #18 and saw #19 so it is indeed there. My reasoning for not showing it in pictures is I was able to move the #18 around and see the #19 behind it but I did also take off the gear to pull #18 out and confirm. I am sorry for not mentioning it before my last post.
