i would try to grab it with a small, pointy vice grips laid flat against pump before drilling, banging or chiseling.
this is how I recently losened same screws when it felt too tight for screwdriver
IGNORE ME - I SEE NOW ITS THE CASE AND NOT THE ACTUAL PUMP, DRILL AWAY I SAY!

Get An impact driver and use it enen manually to get case screws out. If they dont come out then take the right tight fitting bit and yap it with a hammer so it seats in the screw and then connect the impact handle and give it a firm hit. This is the best tool ever for frozen screws and bolts

This works good too. A necessity if your going to split the cases and do a rebuild.

tapping the head of it back into shape with a flat punch works, then get a 'new' Number3 impact tip & tap it into the screw head the with a T bar handle & it'll come out easy. Danger in chizeling around is with long screws you could break out the cover as is a long hole it goes through.

I've done it successfully many times.
I can't image garage life without the hammer type impact driver.

I've had the same problem. I picked up this from the local big box store.

I had luck with both a hammer drill and using a small voice grip and one good whack. I replaced with genuine yamaha screws. Get a jis screwdriver too they make a difference.
