Hi Everbody Im new to this site, looking for some help.
I bought an SC500 a few years ago and im looking to get it registered in the uk.
We have contacted HMRC and have been told that it has a NOVA certificate but I need to prove age of the bike for the DVLA to register bike.
Can anybody help find out how I can get proof of year of manufacture?
Many Thanks Simon

You can get a letter from the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC), or a chap called Paul Dawkins does it for the Aircooledrd club - let me know if you'd like his details.

I take it NOVA certificate is a British thing to register a motorcycle.
Thanks Mark

The NOVA document is one part of the process here. It proves all tax has been paid on imported vehicles . No NOVA ,no proof, no registration.
NOVA also is relevant to the dating cert too for road registering here in the UK MDscott.
For information , if anyone goes through VJMC in the UK , Richard Proudman is the man for the Yamahas.
It's less cost if you join the VJMC should you use them to date cert and insurance costs less for your bikes if you get membership too.

Welcome. I used to race on a bit back in "74 & think they should be registered as a Dangerous Weapon haha. Scared the pants off me a few times & anyone close to me. Great fun on a fast rolling grass paddock though like we sometimes got to use.
