JT1 60 question (rear fender was created by Daygo1966

Hello, new to the forum and glad to see this page as I just picked up a JT1. I’m planning on doing a resto and curious about the rear fender. Mine doesn’t not have the holes with rubber grommets. Could this be the wrong fender or repop?
I have yet to search for the serial numbers. Are they both on the frame and motor?

Thanks

Welcome! from the UK.

I don't know anything about the JT1, so will leave it for others to answer your question about the rear fender.

I would expect to see a series of letters and numbers on the headstock and also on top of the crankcases - these are the frame (aka VIN) and engine numbers. When the bike was new, these would have been the same. However, over the years, some bikes will have had their engines replaced. If you haven't done so already, check out the Tech Library (see top toolbar) for VIN tables, parts and service manuals etc.

I have four rear fenders in hand for the little JTs, and they all have the holes, although one has been skinned with filler and sanded smooth, so it appears there are no holes, until you look at the underside.
