Oil for AT3 was created by ASAHIBLUE125
Hi All,
I recently picked up a 1973 Enduro 125 AT3 and am curious if anyone has any recommendations on brand or type of oil for a bike of this age. Thanks!

Don't take offense if you don't get a lot of responses... Your question is a "hot button" topic on forums... everyone has an opinion on "best oil" and sometimes debates can get heated.
That said, Yamaha still sells Yamalube 2s for the oil injection and Yamalube 10w-40 for the transmission.
Other than that you can pick your poison... on trans oil just make sure whatever you select is rated for wet clutch use. (Modern automotive motor oils usually have slippery additives that may cause clutch slippage... so look for a motorcycle oil rated for wet clutches.)

This is the crank case oil that I like. The two-stroke oil that I purchased from O'Reilly auto parts is made by Lucas. Many will disagree. That's okay. In 1968 they used to use 30 weight motor oil in the crankcase and in the oil injection so it's safe to say whatever you use will be all-right. I am not going to try and re-position the picture. In my photo albums on my iPhone it is correct. It must be a slight glitch in the forum system of which I am totally okay with. Thank you..

Motorcycle oil is more controversial than politics...
I use Mobil 1 4T and Klotz KL-301
