DT360 12v Battery was created by mdscott

Just for reference, here is the battery are use for my DT360, it’s 12 V. I have a power dynamo (Vape) ignition.
Does the job, small, light and around $20. You will have to use foam to take up the space, as the battery is much smaller. I have a Shorai battery on one of my bikes, and it comes with a lot of foam pieces.

Just replace it, the other one lasted two years, but I did ride it much, went dead.

Thanks Mark

I had considered a Vape system for my 360A when I was going nuts with it trying to figure out why it wouldn't run, but pushed the thought aside when I found it was 12VDC. Never even thought of something like this, just automatically assumed a larger lead-acid type and knew I'd never be able to make one fit.

So this is a great post to highlight a solution. Kudos!!:Buds

This one is from Marvac Electronics around $10

I have cut the bottom of the battery tray out for the added height on most battery's, battery sits on filter box 74-76

This is a mottobatt 2year warranty , also comes in 6v. I have hade to warranty a few they run $45
To make room on this bike I cut the seat pan and welded in some reinforcement

Might want to put something to protect that positive battery post, to prevent it shorting to some ground point.

Just sayin'. An ounce of prevention, and all that......:)

I tried a similar battery, has the same specs, but it doesn't seem to have enough power to trigger the flasher. The turn signals light but wont flash, when I connect up the Motobat battery that yamahopper has it will work just fine but it's too darn big and I'm not willing to cut my seat pan. I have found this battery Amazon that I think will fit (have to do some more measuring), and it has about the same amps as the other larger motobat battery so it should be able to trigger the flasher.

The problem might be your flasher unit. Which one are you using?

I got it from Rex when I bought their 12 volt accessory kit, bulbs, horn flasher.

EDIT: Is there one you'd suggest Mark?

2 pin, non-load sensitive like a Tridon HD12 electro-mechanical flasher or equivalent... any auto parts store should have one. They are usually called "Heavy duty" and are not load sensitive so they flash at the same rate no matter the load... sometimes they say "good for towing" or similar comment. Some now say good for LED.

X terminal to brown wire

L terminal to brown/white

2 pin LED-compatible flasher should work too.

The flasher I have been using with great success is the LF1 electronic unit. These are universal, and actually work on both 12 or 6 volt (at least in my experience). You will need to change the plug, and it’s non-OEM looking, but it will work with LED bulbs without a resistor as well.

Here is a link: amzn.to/3oZAJWU

There is a version with correct plugs, but they’re hard to find a source. Small enough, you might be able to hide in an original flasher unit case!
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.
