If you mean does it fit the crank? Yes.

You do need the flywheel that matches your ignition though.

Mark T,
thanks for the response. yes I was hoping to fit one from a different cdi year. I assume that the trigger timing is the reason that they have to match the stator ?

You're probably talking about Rex's? That would be my guess... they would be the ones to ask.

me again,
no, not rexs. I have a 78 dt engine with cdi stator, but no flywheel. I have access to one from a 75/76 and wondered whether the stators were similar enough that the alternative flywheel would work.
any ideas?

I don't know. I doubt it as they were completely different ignitions. DEET might know.

I'll take a guess & say No as early flywheel "i think" has a notch on the center part that might trigger the pulser "guessing". But not sure if the same applies with the later different trigger. Sorry that was no help was it.

It should physically fit, but the ignitions are different (different CDI trigger). Partzilla shows them as being different part numbers.
IF it isn't one thing, it's another.

me again,

for the few quid that it is I'm gonna buy this one and try it, I have convinced myself that it is actually from a similar model, the seller now says he does not know which model as it came to him as scrap.

the flywheel that belongs on my bike is "F3T350" and the one I will buy is "F3T30072", they are both F3T

if anyone can shed light on that I appreciate it. if not, I will let you know in due course!!

cheers

"F3T30072" is from a 1977 DT400. Should work.
