I’m looking at having a local guy do my 1974 DT360A Enduro engine rebuild. How much Yamabond 4 should I get, and should I even order any gaskets? Or should I let the Yamabond take care of the gasketing itself?

YamaBond is basically sealer between case halves, 1 tube should do it. Buy a gasket kit, or individual gaskets as needed. You really don’t need sealer on gaskets, but some of us use it.
Thanks Mark

The local Yamaha shop was out of Yamabond 4. I did some research and found out Three Bond makes Yamabond and Hondabond their eqvivalent is 1184. I bought a 3.5 oz tube of Hondabond 4 and used about .2 oz on a DT360A. Worked great (no leaks). So I could do another 15 motors with what I have leftover. You will need gaskets. There was a seller on e-bay that sold Cruizin Image gasket sets (good quality) out of Japan although I do not see them anymore.

I googled them and could have bought them direct for half of what I spent

Great find! They have later DT175 gasket sets for $7.50! Just the clutch cover gasket costs more than that from Yamaha
