If transmission fluid is up to the correct level and if there is 2 stroke injector oil in the auto lube tank. I'd make sure that there is smoke coming out of the exhaust. Normally people verify that the oil injector pump is working all the while running pre mix in the gas tank. Then upon verification switch to auto lube only. But if you have smoke then probably all okay. One.test I do is pull the oil line from the carb for a few seconds and look for a dribble of oil, less at idle, more as the bike is reved. Careful when pulling the oil line from the carb, as it easily rips apart. There is a metal spring hose clamp there. Needle nose pliers with a twisting motion while pulling hose helps.

The headlight run on the ac side so I am thinking the battery would not effect that. Unless you are saying the high beam indicator is flashing. Maybe someone who knows more will chime in.

By flashing, do you mean irregularly or steadily, as if the headlight and dash lights somehow got wired into the turn signal flasher?

Makes perfect sense with a bad battery especially if turn signal on.

Not a great idea to run these bikes with a bad battery as it can lead to blown bulbs... but yours should have the factory voltage regulator so not nearly as likely.

A video or better description would be helpful. Could just be "flickering" at low rpm because of bad battery or could get alternating flashing of dash lights with turn signal on again due to bad battery.

Has anyone been in the switch? Sometimes guys don't get it reassembled correctly, and the right things line up in the wrong places, causing strange goings on.

Sounds like there could be something amiss in the switch. One plate slides over the other, and if the one moving is off space by a slot, or if one is upside down, then things go haywire quickly.

Oil light should come on when bike is in neutral - this is to show it is working properly. If it stays on, or comes on, when you are in gear/riding, then it's likely that the two stroke oil level is too low.

As well as a possibly faulty switch, has the wiring in the headlight bucket/shell been checked to make sure that all colours connect correctly?
