Jeeze i remember this bike also, it was about 12 hours drive for me, good luck with it tho, hard to find, the old badge bikes]

Yep…..that's the one....! I am happy to have it now as after I got it home I found that it was a DT1 S - the same as my rider 1969 DT1 S - Happy Days!

Probably not quite as ugly as it looks although it was a 1600 mile round trip to pick it up. (Port Lincoln - a salty coastal environment- ,South Australia) - '71 DT1 Complete, running, undamaged, unmolested , rusty all over but not flaky.

I like it.
I've nearly finished my RT1 restoration and I've really enjoyed making it look great.
If I was lucky enough to pick up something like yours I think I'd preserve it just like that and make sure the mechanicals were 100% and just ride it :)
