you can run on a 1975 DT400 without interference issues? I want to run the chain guard and all that. to have a somewhat stock appearance.

I am wanting to run a Dunlop D606 tire front and rear on a project DT400. what size D606 has anyone ran on a DT400?

is there any other tires you would run on a 75-76 DT400. my riding will be mostly dirt with occasional pavement use.

I am a huge fan of the D606 other than mounting them up They are a really stiff sidewall and usually take some skin as a sacrifice when changing them. The nice thing about the stiffness is you can darn near run them flat and still keep going! Plus they are really good performers on the street up to about 70 MPH (Seriously!) and last really well.

You can run either the 120 or the 130 width. Depending on your bike you may have to "help" the chain guard out of the way on the 130. The 120 probably looks a bit more stock. The below pic is a 120.

I run the Perelli MT43 ,,,4.00x18 , on my DT250 Its a big tyre [ bigger than other makes of 4.00x18] classic trial block pattern, good grip on road, [example pic not a DT ]

thanks for the suggestions! I think I will go with the D606. might ride it briefly with what is on it. I know it will have a severe traction problem!

it has the stock Dunlop Trail wing tires it likely left the factory with.

D606 SIZE 130 on 74 DT250.
Still clears swing arm, no chain guard.
Might be to much tire, will see, the 120 may have been a better choice. I asked for a tire sized like the old 4.00x18 & this is what they got me.

What do run in the front?
