Vin number starts 450. honestly later tanks are to long. i have the early locking cap on the tank i have but i think its from a smaller model. I will try to get some images at weekend to show you.

I Have a DT 250 A 1974 and a DT 250 B 1975 and the tanks two round rubbers need to be pushed in firmly to seat in the frame, WD40 helps, to allow it to then slide over the rear mounting bolt. The tanks are the same dimensions on my bikes the only difference being the shape of the tank at the petrol cap. Neither tank has badges they have decals.
