I bit the bullet and bought the $110 intake. Not a place to take a risk and pinch a penny... So we roll.

I was able to get my 250 because the prior owner couldn't find an intake boot and gave up. I bought one of the $100 ones and found a new boot to the airbox for $40 here hvccycle.net/yamaha-dt250-dt400-air-clea...976-498-14453-01-00/
