Hi,
The bike was imported to the uk but I’m not sure where from! It has a 4-position ignition switch and a dual seat so I don’t think it is a USA model. Thank you for the link to the parts list.
Regards,
Steve.

Yes, guaranteed it was not a USA model. All twin shock 125's in the USA were electric start.

549 is the model code for a 1975 DT125 for Europe.

What I said is the USA got the new frame design in 1974... that had the pipe snake through the frame and heat shield on the left... on the DT100 and DT175.

(Our 74-76 DT125 kept the "old" frame design as did all electric start 125's)

Again, it's very likely that the plastic covers you're looking for are the same ones as the 74-76 DT100/175 we got in the US... especially as they are the same as the 1976 Euro DT125 1F9 which is a year newer than yours and very much like the 1976 US DT175.

(Paint scheme on 1975 and 1976 DT175... or kick start DT125 we didn't get... was very similar but the bikes were different. Frames, seats, shock mounts, lots of subtle changes on those models between 75 and 76.)

Check with Alan's suggested guy for a 549 parts book if you want to verify the side cover part numbers.

Hi,
Yes, that’s it. The black panel underneath the oil tank. There seems to be a supplier in Indonesia who can do a pair for about £65.
