Clutch worm gear on 1972 RT2 was created by MK19

Hi,
Does anyone know how to remove the plastic “worm gear” from the Push lever assembly (part no 2141634000) ?
I think KDI do a brass replacement for it but before I start pulling it to bits I wondered has anyone else doe this?
Thanks

Yes I've done it on my DT2, my plastic worm gear was cracked in two places so it came out pretty easy. The brass piece that KDI sells is a good part but make sure you mark the orientation of the plastic piece before you get it out. I used a vice and lube to get the brass piece in, it's a really tight fit, just do a little at a time and make sure it's going in square.
