I GOT IT INTO FIRST!!!! After adjusting the clutch I managed to shift down into first, but then it immediately lurched forward and stalled out.....which is odd considering I never let go of the clutch lever. Never the less we're no longer in neutral!!!

Great news!  Now it sounds like your clutch disks are stuck together, what was told to me and what I did was using a zip tie on the clutch lever zip tie it to the grip and let it set for a day or two then with it still zip tied try rocking it back and forth with it in gear to see if it will break them lose.  Worked on my DT400, still need to try it on my DT175.  Good luck!

If zip tieing the clutch lever in the the grip doesn't work after a few days, another good method is to take the bike to a low/no traffic dirt road, start in neutral, get it rolling and pop it in first, hold the clutch lever in and ride around a bit, usually that'll break the plates free.

Hmmm...  had no drive at all in gear and messing with clutch adjustment got it to grab?

Could clutch discs be stuck together?

I think sometimes describing problem symptoms get lost in translation, but hopefully we're all on the same page now. Lets know how she goes--if it goes.

So a quick update for everyone! I took a clamp to my clutch lever overnight and in the morning pushed the kick start a couple times while in first which broke the clutch free. I'm going to do a tire change and then take it out for spin in my field. It's nice to see things starting to come together! Thanks a bunch guys for all the advice!

Sneezles61--thanks for asking. I'll get outside tomorrow if i get through the night without coughing myself inside-out, which isn't looking likely right now. Need Shed Time [don't we all haha]

When I got corona back at the end of Jan. it took me about 1 1/2 weeks before I could get a descent nights sleep and a month to quit the lingering cough.  All in all I had two bad days then it was like a nasty cold.  I hope you feel better soon and are able to get some shed time!
