I know the '68 is hammered, but can you imagine the guy that had that bike, and the things he was doing to be competitive? I think it's a very cool "historical" piece! Being from California I always see the Dez bikes which have different period hop up pieces, but the one you have is different. Of course it's too bad the tank is gone and someone attacked it with black paint, but I think it's really cool!

I'd like to bet that makes the clutch quite light. You see this set up even today on certain road racing bikes.
