The Beauty DT3 and the Beast DT1 was created by yamahahaha
I picked these 2 up this weekend. The DT3 yesterday and the 1968 DT1 this morning. I have never seen a clutch setup like the one on the DT1. I hope I get some answers from you guys.

That clutch actuator must have been an aftermarket part... has shown up on the forum several times.

It's not a worm gear that breaks?
Someone here had one and even "re-engineered" it to use bearings in the pivots or something like that... others have had them too. I will look later if I have a chance.

I know there were a few more.... but those are a good start.

Looks right from here. Should have an extension on the end held by a screw that goes through that hole near the outlet. Should be a rubber cover that seals the extension and outlet. I just purchased a rubber from EBay. I already had the extension. Surprised NOS Yamaha rubber seal was still available...still more of those on EBay I believe.

Looking at the 3rd pic (frame) what is the purpose of the cut out that looks like a tank cup would slide into?
The other side of the frame DOES NOT have that
