Do yourself a BIG favor and replace the brake shoes front and rear. Old brake shoe linings will separate from the shoe and wedge between the other shoe and the brake drum, causing the wheel to lock up. This is very dangerous and can cause serious injury. So please just replace them, they're not expensive.
