Kickstarter angle 71 DT-1 was created by fmxr47
Simple question. Can I safely run the kickstarter pitched forward in the up position? When the kicker is all the way up it is currently vertical and uncomfortable when standing. If it was a few splines forward I feel it would be more comfortable when standing. Only reason I question changing the angle is I recalled seeing the busted pins in the right case half on a few 175’s in the past. Was not certain if having the kicker angled forward would make the kick shaft potentially bottom earlier and break anything?

"I've always run a folding one."
Morley, can you remember what your folding one was originally fitted to (RD, XS, non Yamaha)?

Can't remember sorry but more than likely RD350 as did have bits if one years ago. It's the same spline for a multitude of models. Think XS650 even, but by memory are fatter around the base & the lever too.
